Reatlegile Mashiteng (Managing Partner)

reatlegile mashitengReatlegile is dynamic, energetic South African with 8 years’ work experience in the Occupational Health and Safety field and Environmental consulting field. Under her employ within the construction industry, she has worked as an SHE Officer and Green Star AP for development projects such as No.1 Mutual Place; Sandton, The Village - Eye of Africa, and the Heineken Sedibeng Brewery Brownfields Expansion.

During this time, her role onsite included amongst others, ensuring environmental compliance as an Environmental Officer, the compilation of Green Star verification documents for submission to the GBCSA, and on-site management of the Health and Safety as a Health and Safety Officer. She is registered with SACPCMP as a CHSO. Reatlegile has experience in implementing EHS Management Systems in accordance with the ISO 45001: 2018 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.

Her experience as a consultant includes Contamination Assessment projects for various petroleum Companies including BP and Engen. She was also involved with environmental authorisations, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA’s) and Basic Assessments (BA’s), for Construction development projects including Tsakane Mall Phase 2 Construction, Assmang Ltd: Beeshoek Iron Ore Mine Waste Licence Application for the remediation of contaminated Soils, Eskom Bighorn Basic Assessment for the Bighorn Substation Upgrade. She has worked as an Environmental Compliance Officer for various developments including Mall of the South and Nelson Mandela’s Children’s hospital.

Deon van Tonder (Partner)

deon van tonderDeon holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and administration with several additional post graduate level courses linked to an in-progress Masters in Environmental Management. With over 25 years of blended work experience in the safety, health, environmental, quality and general management, he applies simple philosophies founded on both social and business values and ethics in his day to day work, believing in the right way of doing things and is precise and objective when planning and executing tasks and activities, applying an analytical and forward-thinking approach to the task at hand. He has a balanced personality that adapts to any circumstance and is able to operate in any environment inside and outside the SHEQ field.

His exposure in the construction industry developed over 15 years of specialist functions in auditing, environmental awareness and the development and implementing of certified systems. He has a wide range of civil, earthworks and large-scale construction project exposure and has since 2012, focused on the built environment, being involved with award winning Green Building Projects. Deon was privileged to be part of several iconic and award-winning projects over the past years.

As the SHEQ Executive of the Building division of a multinational construction company, he was able to apply a personal passion likened to that of organization culture improvement and facilitated an improved safety and leadership culture and has run several successful behavioural improvement initiatives, ultimately improving overall performance.
